i'm just gonna copy and paste this from the facebook post i made...

hey all, just letting it be known that if anyone needs a 3rd person to fill a beginer team i am avalible. i have never played a speedball tourny before, i qualify for the beginers level here are some specs about me,

Age: 24
Marker: Tippmann A5 - Double Trigger, Polished internals, JJ 14" Ceramic,
Physical condition: well not out of shape, but bigger, i am strong and can move fast for short distances.
i have my own vehicle for transportation.
i am a former competetive Hockey Goaltender, i compete for fun and to win, emotions do get raised in game i will admit, but the second it's over, it's over! i am also not afraid to yell directions or take directions. i have over 5 years experiance being a captain or assistant captain of a hockey team, so i can lead, but i also know how to follow.
i enjoy military stratagy books and video games. and i find myself planing how to defend against the inevitable zombie invasion everywhere i go... just you wait...

Although my marker is not a Full Auto marke, i can walk the trigger into about 9-12 BPS if i go fast, and can keep a steady stream of 6-7 BPS normally. i do not have a response trigger, but i may be getting one before the event.

although my experiance is limited i like to think i learn very fast, and am always open for suggestions... i will make mistakes, but i learn from them all,

i am not promising anything spectacular, i just would like to ball in this event, and i think i can grab the time off work...

will pay my own share of the entrance fee, and i am a fairly generous person, i beleive in safety and health, and of course fun and fair play. AKA: i am buying a new mask as i found that my last game i got pegged on the top of the head and did not feel it due to the helmet style of the mask, and could not hear it due to my loud marker and my yelling info out to teammates...

i think everything sounds great you seem very eager to play, the marker that u have is more of a woodsball marker, maybe invest in a speedball marker.so you can keep up with everyone on the field.just a sugestion is all.

You have the qualities a team would be looking for however you should dump the A-5 and get a speedball marker to play in speedball tournaments.

alright, i now have access to a electro marker, i have a HPA tank, and am actually looking at buying two more in the next two weeks...

so if anyone is interested in picking me up for a newb team, it would be greatly appreciated!

i like my tippmann A5, it shoots very well the way it is...

but i did not notice that invert mini before... and if i can grab a full marker for next to the same price as a bloody egrip, i think i will get the full marker, cause hell i am getting faster with my fingers everyday and will soon be able to walk my A5 to 15 BPS if i push her...

guys he's playing div4. the equipment does not make the player. example: if i had a rental and someone that has never played before had a luxe, its not guaranteed he will win because he has a luxe.
if he wants to play with his A-5, let him, don't turn it into "BUY A SPEEDBALL GUN CAUSE THATS WHAT I THINK YOU SHOULD DO"

anyway theres my mini-rant

thanks man, i think i will take their offer and use the borrowed marker in the tourny game,

but if i can find a speedball pickup game that day, i will definatly try my A5 and see how i perform... cause honestly, i know that a diffrent marker does not make me smaller behind a bunker, and i know a diffrent marker does not make me more accurate... it just lets me sling more paint...

You will do just fine...... My BIGGEST peice of advice....... Take every chance and every word that someone is willing to give you, and use it to the fullest extent. This is a community that is willing to share all and will not stop teaching, learning and socializing. There is always people to ask questions to.... Look beside you on any feild, he/she will be happy to help you.

yeah and i would say for practice for the next tourney come out to PAG on Mondays for team night. always a great group of guys out always ready to answer questions and help you out on the field

yeah, it's a little hard right now for me to get out there for monday nights, but on the bright side, i am applying for my masters and PhD in Psychology at the UofA for next year... so i might be in the city more often... then again, AADAC is also thinking of transfering me to you guys in edmonton as well... which would rock! maybe...

Screaming Eagle is closed for the summer... ugh... kinda sucks... you must be at Crane Lake then? give me a message if your up for a bar visit or a BBQ in town or something... my place is always open for people to visit at...

in other news, i no longer need a team! i convinced one of my friends to come with me, and my roommate's birthday is on the 17th so he has the 17th and 18th off... so we are driving up at 6am saturday to play the event after probally being up most of the night... should be interesting...
